Deacon Jeff & Ann Cook founded Invito Spiritus with the aim of providing spiritual direction to help others discern God's plans. Whether through individual one-on-one sessions, small group meetings, or large group teachings, we are called to invite the Holy Spirit into our moments and journeys, offering essential spiritual guidance along the way.

A spiritual guide and companion
A vessel for the Holy Spirit to work through, helping to identify where God is active in the lives of the Directees
A co-discerner who listens attentively
A force drawing you closer to Jesus Christ
An arrow directing you toward Heaven
What Spiritual Direction is NOT:
A therapist. Psychotherapy addresses needs distinct from those met by spiritual guidance.
Someone who merely tells you what you want to hear.
Ways that Spiritual Direction can be helpful:
In discernment and decision-making
During times of grief and loss impacting your spirituality
When you wish to deepen your relationship with the Most Holy Trinity
In seeking healing from spiritual woundedness and longing for spiritual wholeness
When experiencing dryness in prayer, personal devotions, and spiritual life due to the pressures of family and work obligations
Assisting couples of different denominations to cultivate a shared spiritual life
Why is there a cost associated with Spiritual Direction?
Investing in spiritual guidance aids the Directee in their spiritual journey
It encourages the Directee to honor and appreciate the Director's commitment of time and preparation
There are costs that Spiritual Directors incur for certification and ongoing professional development
Many Spiritual Directors are not salaried church staff employees

Certificate of Professional Spiritual Direction from Mayslake Ministries in the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois
Completion of the Called and Gifted Program at the St. Catherine of Siena Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Certificate in the Discernment of Charisms Training from Many Parts Ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma
30 years of experience in family care as a nurse and various ministries (SEARCH for Christian Maturity, Christ Life, Engaged Couples counseling, Be Formed, Discipleship group leader)
What is the cost for a one-hour Spiritual Direction session?
The fee for one hour of Spiritual Direction is $60.
